2014 China Farewell Concert

Our pre-tour farewell concert "Unity"will be held on 14 June 2014 at 7.00pm at the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts, Howitt Street, Ballarat. Tickets available at www.trybooking.com/EUUD

In June 2014 the Ballarat Wind Orchestra (BWO) will embark on a tour of China! Headed by conductor, Mario Dobernig, and showcasing the debut of an Australian original composition by composer, Andrian Pertout, this will be an exciting venture and represents a landmark tour in the history of the BWO.

Schladming 12th July - 14th July

Schladming We arrive in Schladming for the Mid Europe Band Festival where we will perform for one hour. we have performances on both the 12th & 13th July. More details to follow regarding time. Check Mid Europe Wind Band Festival site for details.

Salzburg

Salzburg On the 11th July we reach the home of Mozart and begin to explore Salzburg. We continue our Salzburg experience on the 12th before we continue on to Schladming.

St. Lorenzen

St. Lorenzen Here we will have the opportunity to meet with a local wind band on the 9th July. We will play a concert in the local village for an hour and a half on Sunday the 10th July. More details to follow.

Graz: 7th & 8th July

Graz We will be performing at an evening music festival 7th July. The concert will run for aprox. one hour and thirty minutes. More details to come.

Austria Tour Details 2-6th July: Vienna

Week One of Tour We arrive on the 3rd July in Vienna where we stay until 6th July. During this time, we will be enjoying local food and wine while soaking up the sights and delights of the capital including a trip to Schonbrunn Palace and the Spanish Horse Ehibition.
